Todd Mierzwiak

My wife Sarah and I, unfortunately, never had kids, but, thankfully we have many nieces and nephews with whom we are active. About two years ago, we were having a conversation about how great our childhood was growing up. This led to a frank discussion about what positives had impacted both of us in our lives, including parents who made sure that we had a fabulous education. We both agreed that our high school educations cemented the values and ideals in our lives in a positive way. Sarah and I decided to make a long-term financial commitment to St. John's Jesuit so that we might give the opportunity to a student who might not otherwise have the financial capacity to attend the school.

My wife and I have become more and more active at the school over the last couple of years. We are continually amazed at the supreme dedication of the faculty and staff. Everyone has a common goal of providing the best education system as well as promoting Christ to its students. We feel this is a critical aspect of a catholic education. We feel that one of the most lasting legacies is to be able to give a student the means to attend St. John's when they might not otherwise have the opportunity. The feeling we got when we had the chance to meet the two student recipients of our scholarship was overwhelming. I would strongly encourage other alumni or friends of the school to consider a lasting legacy that will benefit future students.
